BNSF Launches New Tool for Bidding on Transload Services

We are introducing a new tool allowing you to easily request and analyze bids for services from transload facilities that serve the extended BNSF Railway network. An online tool for transload bids has been something our transloaders have requested, and BNSF is happy to offer this easy-to-use tool, which saves time for you and the transloaders by automating much of the transload bid process. Here's how the Transbid tool works:

  • To place your transload bid request, use the TransBid tool on
  • The BNSF TransBid tool looks for viable transload facilities within 200 miles of your requested pick-up and/or delivery location. Each transload facility meeting the required criteria will receive an email from BNSF requesting a bid.
  • Once the bids have been submitted, you will receive an email notification that will direct you to the BNSF Transbid tool to review the bids and choose the bid that best suits your needs. Please note that transload providers are offered the option to decline to bid.
  • Once you choose the bid that best suits your needs, an email is sent to all of the bidding transload providers to inform them of whether their bid has been selected.
  • The email sent to the chosen transload provider will include your contact information so that the transloader may contact you directly.
