BNSF Carload Pipeline Report Tool Now Available at bnsf.com
BNSF is pleased to announce a powerful new tool to help carload customers efficiently manage capacity and decrease demurrage. Through the Carload Pipeline Report tool in My Reports on bnsf.com, you are now able to see how many railcars you’ll have at your facility in the days and weeks ahead.
Having a more precise picture of your incoming cars will help you know instantly whether you have too many or too few. You will also be able to anticipate future demurrage charges so you can take action in time to avoid them. Reports pulled from the Carload Pipeline Report tool can be customized to your needs and exported to Excel.
Features of the Carload Pipeline Report
· Overview – The overview gives you a high-level view of your pipeline, including:
o Number of cars en route or at a location
o Industry capacity - number of cars you can spot at one time
o Average time cars dwell at your facility on spot over the last 45 days
o Estimated demurrage on the cars in your pipeline
· Calendar – The calendar forecasts how many cars will be at your facility over the next two weeks, and is color-coded to indicate when there are too few or too many cars at your destination.
· Car Listing – The car listing allows you to drill down to information at the car level.
· Map – The map allows you to identify the location of cars on a dynamic system map with drill down options.
