Enhancements to Rail Central Now Available

To make doing business easier, BNSF has made enhancements to Rail Central in the secure section of bnsf.com. Based on your feedback, these enhancements include additional functionality and fields.

New Functionality

  • Filter by multiple car unit initials
  • Print both the waybill information and trip plan
New Fields
  • Standard Point Location Code (SPLC)—Industry-wide location code for origin/destination pairs
  • Manifest ID, Internal Transaction Number (ITN) and bond entry number—Commonly used in Mexico/Canada customs for carload traffic
Rail Central can be accessed from inside the secure section of bnsf.com on the Rail Central tab at the top of the screen. If you do not have access to the secure section of bnsf.com, you can register at any time by clicking on the “Register” link in the Customer Login box on the BNSF home page.
