Updated Report: CSX Derailment near Saint Joseph, Indiana
On Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at 12:01 p.m. Central Time, BNSF received an initial report that a CSX coal train derailed 12 cars near St. Joseph, Indiana, blocking both main tracks. St. Joseph, Indiana is on the CSX Railroad, located 200 miles east of Chicago, Illinois.
One track has been returned to service. The second track is estimated to open at 5:00 p.m. Central Time. BNSF will continue to provide you with additional information as it becomes available.
