Preliminary Report: Derailment near Broken Bow, Nebraska

We have a preliminary report that coal train C-CAMCIP1-01 derailed 55 miles west of Ravenna, Nebraska at approximately 5:25 p.m. CT on Saturday, July 31, 2010.

Both main tracks at this location are impacted. It is estimated main track one will be returned to service at 1:00 p.m. CT August 1, 2010 and main track two will be returned to service at 11:00 p.m. CT August 1, 2010.

BNSF may re route some traffic in order to minimize impact to service. We will continue to provide you with additional information as it becomes available. Customers may experience delays of 24 to 36 hours on shipments moving through this corridor.

It is typically 24 hours after a derailment before detailed information is available through the BNSF Load and Ride Solutions (LARS) department. As more information is made available a BNSF LARS representative will contact your company.
