Video Update from Tom G. Williams - Tracking Progress

Dear BNSF Customer,

With the beginning of Spring, I wanted to take a moment to update you on recent disruptions to service and operations in portions of South Dakota, Iowa, Nebraska and Missouri caused by record flooding. BNSF crews are conducting ongoing assessments and inspections regarding the condition of our main lines. Additional resources, including ballast, are being deployed to affected locations to make track repairs as quickly as possible. While service on some subdivisions has already been restored, with speed restrictions in place where necessary, normal train flows in the area are not likely to resume for an extended period. BNSF has created a Midwest flooding recovery webpage (www.bnsf.com/floodrecovery) to provide specific information and resources regarding this event.
